Career Prospects

career prospects imageDepending on experience, professional contract trainers can expect to be involved in a wide range of training projects. Over time these could vary from standard IT end user desktop training to customer-specific bespoke training projects. One minute you could be training on specialist point of sale equipment on a shop floor and the next you could be sitting by someone's desk helping them to navigate around their new PC.

You will be exposed to a wide range of audiences and will use a variety of training techniques. This often involves a blend of learning methods such as instructor-led classroom training, e-learning or post implementation 'floorwalking' support. Helping people get to grips with their new technology can be extremely rewarding - one thing is for sure, life will never be dull!

In time you could be involved in other roles within a training project such as training needs analysis, designing courses or writing training material or perhaps working as a team leader or project manager.
